A country in East Africa within the African Great Lakes region. It borders Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, is in northeastern Tanzania.
Swahili is the official language but there are over 120 languages spoken. It is home to the world’s largest volcanic depression, the Ngorongoro Crater. The Great Migration in Tanzania can be seen year round as more than two million animals migrate around the Serengeti National Park.
